Since 1995 JBP has provided PR support for the School, to date the only University of the West of England faculty to use an external agency.
A key focus of JBP’s PR activity has been media relations to publicise the School’s business executive partnerships and research capability to employers. In an evaluation carried out by the Association of Business Schools, Bristol Business School was identified as the top performing School in terms of media coverage.
In addition JBP developed a business engagement opportunities for the Business School including a debate on management development challenges of the future, which involved senior HR personnel from leading regional organisations.
JBP also produces the School’s glossy magazine, Fast Forward, which is targeted at the business community. The magazine received a Silver award for ‘Best Newsletter, Newspaper and Magazine’ in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Pride Awards 2007.
