JBP hosts and runs a number of business and PR-related events. We organise the South West Financial & Corporate Communications Awards, which are now a major fixture in the regional business calendar. The Awards recognised best practice communications by the South West’s quoted companies.
JBP also runs the Meet the National Media series of seminars which are designed to provide insights into capturing the imagination of national journalists. Speakers to date have included Greg Wood, a presenter on Radio 4 Today, Dave Sumner Smith, publisher of the Daily Telegraph Business Club section, Martin Baker, a national press freelancer and Hugh Pym, Business & Economics Correspondent for the BBC.

The South West Financial and Corporate Communications Awards, now in their fifth year, are a major fixture in the regional business community calendar. For the first time this year they will celebrate best practice communications by both quoted companies (Main Market, AIM and PLUS Markets) and fast growing private businesses with a turnover of £50m plus.
